Paternity

Often the parents of a child are not married. In order for the mother to collect child support or for the father to have the court make a custody or visitation order paternity must be established. The father may prove that he is the father of the child by submitting to a DNA paternity test or paternity testing which involves a blood test or by executing an admission of paternity.
